Delete your account & data

This page explains how to request deletion of your account and personal data in WDDNG, the wedding planning app operated by Mmogo Media. It applies to the WDDNG mobile app and the website at wddng.co.

Last updated: 1 July 2026

How to request account deletion

  1. Use the form below (or email privacy@wddng.co from your account email address).
  2. Choose whether you want to delete your entire account or delete only specific data while keeping your account.
  3. We'll email you at your account address to verify the request is genuinely from you.
  4. Once verified, we permanently delete your data and email you to confirm. Verified requests are completed within 30 days.

Vendors can also delete their account instantly in the app: sign in and go to Vendor Dashboard → Settings → Delete Account.

Request account or data deletion

Submit the form and we'll take it from there. You can request full account deletion, or ask us to delete only some of your data without closing your account.

Use the email address associated with your WDDNG account so we can verify the request.

Prefer email? Write to privacy@wddng.co from your account email address.

What data is deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove the personal data we hold about you, including:

  • Your login/account credentials and profile (name, email, role).
  • Your wedding details — wedding profile, dates, budgets, guest lists and RSVPs, and planning timeline.
  • Saved/favourite vendors, wishlists, and enquiries or messages you sent.
  • Your AI planning assistant conversation history.
  • If you are a vendor: your vendor business profile, services, gallery images, availability, and bookings.

What we keep, and for how long

After a deletion request, a limited amount of data may be retained where the law requires it or to protect against fraud and abuse:

  • Transaction and payment records (invoices, payouts) are retained for up to 5 years to meet South African tax and financial record-keeping obligations. These are held under a legal basis, not for marketing.
  • Records needed for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes are kept only as long as necessary for those purposes.
  • Anonymised, aggregated analytics that can no longer identify you may be retained indefinitely.
  • Personal data remaining in encrypted backups is purged within a further 30 days as backups rotate.
