Doringboom hands you the farm keys on Thursday, and that decided everything: a wedding built by the guests. Ben’s rugby club carried the long tables into the waenhuis, Aisha’s cousins strung the lights, and her ouma — outnumbering all objections — baked the cake herself.
They spent where hands couldn’t help: Marli Steyn for the photographs, and buckets of November flowers from the Tulbagh co-op that the aunts arranged on the Friday.
