Sixty chairs and a two-block walk

They wanted a Tuesday-lunch feeling on a Saturday: ceremony in the Wale Street chapel, confetti on the Georgian steps, then the whole party walking two blocks — traffic stopping, strangers clapping — to a Bree Street bistro they’d bought out for the night.

Anele Mabaso shot a half-day — chapel, walk, first hour of dinner — which kept the budget at R150 000 and the album exactly the right length. Melk & Meel’s one-tier came out with the coffee.
